Reddit dating older man

There are those who will look much younger, obviously that would help.

Lol, I don't know about you, but most 30 year olds don't look that different from 28 year olds. You said that a man who engages in activities through which he can meet young women is more likely to date young women. From where I am standing, this is the definition of acting young. I don't think that the majority of young people are college students in college towns frequenting only college bars. When I googled it, only There are plenty of opportunities for older men to interact with younger women. Connects people it otherwise wouldn't. But then I remember that many of these girls are hoping this guy will have disposable money to spend on her, his own place, etc.

You can bang prostitutes in your thirties, sure, which is how most older men attract younger women. But most men never are and never will be sexually attractive to any women, and that doesn't change with age. Most college girls with statusy social circles won't do it. But more marginalized college girls will. In addition, girls not in school may have a more mixed circle and be willing to do it. Once they graduate college, they are much more open to it. By 25, very little stigma to dating a 35 year old. Of course tinder may have changed things from what I remember, even the prissy sorority girls can sneak away now without the risk of being spotted.

In general online dating has made it so that you don't actually have to cross paths with younger women in real life to date them. The problems are mostly about stigma of using tinder, of using tinder to find a thirty year old , not lack of availability.

Because our overall views on sex. Americans in general are more uptight about sex than that of Europeans are. To put it one way you guys are largely okay with women going topless, in the US there's two cities I know of where its legal. It's not an accomplishment at all. Its just that for me at least its young women or none at all. I'm quite fine with being single and if I have to sacrifice all that freedom, then it's only going to be for a woman in her 20s. Its just a question of weighting the scenarios. So it doesn't really matter if girls who are into this are rare or ubiquitous, you just wait to those that are come along.

And otherwise do what else it is you are doing and what you like to do. My grandfather outlived my grandmother by more than a decade, and even when he was in his 90s, he had younger women in their 60s and 70s pursuing him. Although when he was in his 40s, they would have been teenagers, so it's all relative.

Welcome to Reddit,

Half your age plus 7 is a good rule of thumb to follow. If a man is 30, then a woman of 22 would be ideal. If a man is 40, then it's 27, and so on. Men live less than women, so there are significantly less men available for a 60 year old women to date, so they have to lower their standards if they want to have a partner.

At the age of 22 there are more men than women, so women can date whoever they want and they tend to choose men their age. That may be why men go to war, so as to cull the herd a bit. There's a lot of women with daddy issues, or who didn't have a dad growing up who might find themselves attracted to older men. I think you're right in the sense of it being harder to get introduced to them, but if you find each other then it's on. Lifestyle is a big thing, and generally you need to work in the arts, media or entertainment to be a 30ish guy who meets college age girls on a regular basis.

The other option is going back to college to get an advanced degree or post-graduate diploma. I went to law school just as I turned FFS, no one is arguing that dopey, lame 50th percentile 40 year old dudes are dating 18 year old hotties. RP never argues that most year old dudes are out there banging college hotties, it's obviously only a minority of men. My extended social group when I was was mostly people dating their own age, and two girl dating guys in their 30's.

The girls who dated older men were more sexually outgoing and promiscuous. After those ages, it wasn't seen as such a big deal anymore to date a 30yo, male or female. As a guy now in his 30's, I have to say times feel like they've changed. Everything and everyone that someone doesn't like is 'creepy'. For myself, I've come to the conclusion that I just tend to like younger women, and I can't waste my time giving a flying fuck what anyone thinks about it.

As far as when men 'peak', I will admit I was left unprepared for the idea that I peaked in my 20's somewhere. I was so used to seeing older men with younger women in culture, it just seemed like a natural thing. When I was 18 girls my age were talking about how dreamy Sean Connery and Keith Richards were, or some other older male celebrity.

So, that was just how it was.

Now again society undergoes it's rapid evolution to where now the internet is filled with people who what to know what the hell you were thinking that 20yo women would want anyone but 20yo men. This was new to me, as was the idea that it was in any way 'wrong' for me to want to be with a sexy younger woman. Most fitness models are in their 30ss. It takes many years of dedication to build a truly good physique. Of course, it goes without saying. Such a man could outcompete most younger men handily.

Plus in terms of maturity and overall masculine traits, these are things that men have to build up over time, if they do they will be better in their 30s than in their 20s, the only guys who were just as good in their 20s are the Chads that everyone likes to complain about while envying and admiring them at the same time. Yeah, if he's hot he's bangable, I just don't know that he would have an advantage over an equally attractive younger man. I've been told it's easy to go to a club and find a hot young woman to have sex with because it's mostly exclusively?

6 Women reveal what it's like to date older men

I didn't say anything about acting young though. I didn't say anything about acting young. Yes, women who have converted to dating The Older Man often wax lyrical about what a great decision it is. But let's hear it from those who have actually been there, so here are six women on what it's like to date a silver fox This Reddit user's parents decided to disown her because of it. Except he's less annoying and pushy about sex than younger guys are.

We get that we're 'a cute couple' pretty often, but we always holding hands and doing cute things. There is the 'age differences are always manipulative' group, too. My mother wasn't that happy at first, because when she found out about him, I was graduating high school and moving in with him on the other side of the country. After I moved here though, she's making an effort to be nice to him. I think it's because she thought I wouldn't go to college, but I am. I've found that, generally, older guys are more responsive to what I do and don't want to do. I'm borderline asexual, so it's a big deal for someone to be impatient and pushy about sex.

This is a generalisation, but younger guys tend to try to annoy me into things. There are less "petty" arguments, according to this Reddit post. One of the things I noticed with him is that he doesn't 'allow' me to do things, I am an adult and I can hang out, drink, socialise, and be friends with whoever I want to be. He honestly doesn't care. I don't have to clean up after him ever, he's an adult and he acts like one.

IDK I just like feeling like I have a partner and not someone who is trying to make my world revolve around them. Sometimes conversation would wander onto the reality of it and things got a little bit awkward - I didn't understand why until I got older. Now, I look back on it and it freaks me out a little bit.
